A beautiful example of ericson’s timeless swedish design, with an aged pewter patina that adds character and warmth. This model was designed for and presented at the world exhibit in paris in 1925. Marked by maker underneath. How to decode the hallmarks on this bowl: the date code: the rectangular stamp containing "g10" represents the official swedish national year-marking system used for precious metals and quality pewter. In this continuous cycle, the code g10 corresponds directly to the year 1933. The town mark: the shield stamp on the left shows saint erik, which is the official city hallmark for stockholm, where svenskt tenn was founded and produced its metalwork. The maker's mark: the circular seal in the middle is the iconic svenskt tenn "angel mark" showing two winged figures, used by the workshop since its founding in 1924.
