Not signed. as issued. Etching. 310x175 mm. Sheet: 470x338 mm. "WL" on the plate at the top right. Title and "Je veux chanter Pallas qui scait bien la manière / D'emporter par affant une place: guerriere / Adroite à manier la lance & coutetas / Fille du grand Iupin valeureuse ès combas." on the plate at the bottom center. The engraving shows Athena, Goddess of wisdom and war, with the owl on her helmet and the head of the gorgon Medusa on her shield. (1) Mount with defects. Traces of use along the edge of the plate. Engraved in very good condition. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
