Large early 20th century English advertising apothecary crock for Virol, a preparation of bone marrow once marketed as an “ideal fat food.” Crafted in heavy stoneware with bold black transfer typography, this oversized shop display example is far scarcer than the smaller retail jars sold to the public. The substantial scale and graphic lettering give the piece striking visual presence, ideal for pharmacy collections, kitchen display, or English country house interiors.
