Inspired by the iconic Space Age designs of the era, these chairs blend sleek, sculptural geometry with functional lounge comfort.
These space-age chairs feature a low-slung, wraparound bucket seat design tailored for comfort. The entire seating shell is fully upholstered in a durable, distressed dark brown leather that features light wrinkling and soft pleating along the interior curves, typical of vintage padded leather work from this era.
The armrests flow seamlessly out of the backrest in a single continuous curve, creating an inviting, pod-like form that hugs the sitter.
The shell is supported by Burke's signature heavy cast-aluminum four-star propeller-style swivel pedestal base, which flares gracefully out into four distinct feet for stability.
A smooth mechanical swivel mechanism is integrated directly into the upper post of the pedestal base, allowing the bucket seat to rotate 360 degrees.
Burke Division production ceased in 1969; authentic items like these chairs have become classic collector's pieces.
