An antique buggy seat bench with a beautifully shaped wood seat, tall back, and sweeping iron supports retained from its original carriage construction. Richly weathered wood and dark iron lend the piece depth, texture, and sculptural character, while the wood base and lower shelf add practical function. A distinctive example of American vernacular design, equally suited to an entry, library, country house, or layered interior.
