A striking, regal pair of vintage high-back lounge chairs from the highly collectible "Barcelona" collection by Morganton Furniture Co., manufactured under Drexel Enterprises. These chairs beautifully blend Spanish Revival stateliness with the clean, structured silhouettes of Mid-Century Campaign styling.
Crafted from a solid premium hardwood frame with a rich amber-toned grain, the frames boast impressive high-back presences accented by brass ball finials at the crown posts. The chairs feature their original, authentic button-tufted back, seat, and headrest cushions. The underside retains the original factory tags from the Heritage * Morganton * Lineage division of Drexel Enterprises, along with a historical mid-century shipping manifest documenting their original delivery to Richmond, Indiana.

The wood shows minor, localized surface scuffs consistent with age but retains a beautiful, warm patina. Brass finials show light, authentic vintage tarnish. Upholstery Condition: Fair / Project Condition. The original textured amber dot fabric on the main cushions is intact with light vintage wear. However, both armrests have significant fabric deterioration, splitting, and wear exposing the structural green layer underneath. The arms are backed with zippers, and could be removed and the chairs used as is, but I have not attempted the old zippers, I do not know what is underneath. Thus this pair is being sold as a restoration or reupholstery project. less
