Of generous proportions, the bench features an elegant wrought iron frame with a gilded finish, beautifully detailed with twisted rope-form elements and distinctive tassel-form feet.

The bench retains its early lime green velvet upholstery, believed to be contemporary to the piece. The vibrant upholstery provides a wonderful contrast against the aged gilt iron and adds to the bench’s glamorous Hollywood Regency character. The fabric remains in fine vintage condition, although reupholstering could be considered depending on personal preference.

With its sculptural rope detailing, tassel feet, and substantial scale, this is a particularly decorative statement piece suitable for the foot of a bed, dressing room, entryway, living room, or beneath a console.
