original set of four s 533 rf cantilever chairs, designed by ludwig mies van der rohe for thonet. Developed in 1927, this armchair is one of the earliest and most significant cantilever designs in design history and marks a milestone of modernism. In the lead-up to the weissenhof estate in stuttgart, mies van der rohe explored the cantilever chair principle developed by mart stam and created a completely new, elegant interpretation. With its characteristic, generously curved tubular steel form, the s 533 combines technical innovation with architectural lightness and remains one of the most iconic bauhaus designs.

the design consists of bent, chrome-plated tubular steel and features natural rattan weaving on the seat and backrest.
