Attributed to mid-century Italian foundries specializing in fine export metalwork, this pedestal is constructed from substantial, sand-cast gilt metal. The upper and lower square frames are adorned with elaborate, Baroque-inspired scrolling acanthus leaf filigree corners and a beautifully textured decorative border.

Four elegant, fluted Neoclassical legs seamlessly connect the two tiers, terminating in gently flared, curved feet.The stand safely houses two thick, removable slabs of genuine white Carrara marble. The stone features classic, soft grey veining that beautifully contrasts against the rich, antiqued gold finish of the framework.Condition & Marking
