The compote features an elegant oval bowl with hand-painted pink roses and a soft scenic landscape, surrounded by elaborate raised gilt and floral decoration. The exterior is richly embellished with gold scrollwork, and the large open handles are finished in gold.

The pedestal is supported by three substantial gilt paw-style feet, giving the piece a particularly ornate neoclassical appearance.

The underside of the compote bears a Nippon wreath-style backstamp. An additional footed porcelain base/stand accompanies the compote and coordinates very well with it; however, the separate base is unmarked, so I cannot confirm that it was originally manufactured as part of the compote.

Overall measurements with base: approximately 6.75” high x 12.25” wide x 9.5” deep.

Very attractive antique condition overall with expected light age-related wear, including some rubbing/wear to the extensive gold decoration and minor surface wear. Please examine all photographs closely for condition and details.
