Offered is a chic and sleek mid 20th century pedestal cake platter made by Crescent Silverware Manufacturing Company. It features very clean lined almost art nouveau style silver plated steel base, and a thick slab of double sided Formica in a glossy faux wood finish. The post WW2 era of the late 1940s to early 1950s was a feast of modernism and innovation with new materials after 2 decades of austerity. The base is stamped with the Model "712M". This piece is in very good condition and any flaws seen in the pictures are due to shiny reflections in the glossy Formica or silver plated surfaces.
Measures 11.875" diameter, 5" tall, 6" base diameter, surface is .375" deep
