The tall, sculptural backs are framed in dark-finished wood with gracefully curved arms and cabriole-style legs, while blue-gray velvet piping outlines the upholstered panels and loose seat cushions. The fabric palette combines a warm cream ground with muted blue, coral, taupe and charcoal, giving the chairs a sophisticated English country house / Ralph Lauren–inspired aesthetic.

Both chairs retain their original Century Chair Company labels and upholstery law tags. The undersides show traditional hardwood framing with X-form stretchers.

An unusually decorative pair that would work equally well flanking a fireplace, in a library or bedroom, or as occasional chairs in an eclectic traditional interior.
