Vintage Tiffin Franciscan Palais Versailles Claret Wine Glasses Set of 4 Gold Encrusted Stem 17594 Elegant Crystal
Made in France 1979.
Each Approx. 6 3/8" High x 2 3/4" Diameter at Rim x 2 3/4 Diameter at Base.
First introduced in 1954. Discontinued 1989.
Epitome of Hollywood Regency luxury and mid-century American elegant glass.
Each piece features a spectacularly wide, deeply etched band of 24K gold encrusting showcasing an intricate motif of classic urns, scrolling acanthus leaves, and floral swags.
Good used vintage condition. No chips, cracks, flea bites, fractures, or clouding.
The heavy 24K gold bands are bright, brilliant, and exceptionally well-preserved with no visible wear / minor, age-appropriate micro-rubbing as shown in photos. Thumbprints of urns has some missing gold. The crystal remains beautifully clear and clean.
