The restrained rectangular form is accented by decorative gilt-bronze ornament along the apron, corners and feet. Ingeniously constructed, the base slides outward to support the hinged top as it unfolds, revealing an inset round green felt playing surface and creating a generously sized game table. When closed, the beautifully figured wood top gives the piece the appearance of a refined console or side table. An exceptional combination of French cabinetmaking, decorative detail and clever design, equally suited for cards, games or as an elegant occasional table. From Paris, France! #8321 See less
