The repeating three-dimensional cube pattern creates a wonderful optical effect and is framed by a broad veneered border with softly rounded corners.

The table rests on paired turned supports joined by a long, beautifully turned center stretcher, with low sledge-form bases and turned feet. Its petite scale and low 19-inch height make it especially versatile as a side table, occasional table, small entry piece, low accent table, or decorative table beside a settee or lounge chair.

The antique surface retains wonderful warmth, variation and patina. The parquetry remains substantially intact while showing localized losses and age-related wear that speak to the table’s long history.
