An elegant vintage porcelain plate made for the Hôtel de Crillon in Paris, one of France's most historic luxury hotels. The plate features the hotel's restrained and sophisticated crowned “C” monogram in gold, surrounded by a fine gilt border. The reverse is marked GDA Limoges France, identifying the manufacturer as Gérard, Dufraisseix & Abbot, one of the important Limoges porcelain producers. This classical service was used by the Hôtel de Crillon and represents an increasingly collectible category of historic European hotel tableware. Its understated design makes it equally appealing displayed as a decorative object or incorporated into an eclectic table setting. A beautiful piece of Parisian hotel history.
