The lantern is defined by an elongated octagonal body constructed from a slender brass framework with a warm, naturally aged finish. Its architectural composition alternates transparent panels with narrow decorative sections formed from individually framed diamond-shaped elements. Each panel is made from clear, cut and bevelled crystal glass. The deeply polished edges capture and refract the light, creating constantly changing reflections across the different facets. The vertical panes visually elongate the lantern, while the angled glass elements at the top and bottom give the structure the appearance of a finely cut gemstone. Particularly beautiful are the narrow corner panels, composed of a succession of bevelled crystal diamonds enclosed within a geometric lattice. This decorative rhythm continues around the entire lantern, creating depth and visual complexity without compromising the lightness of its proportions. The lantern body terminates in faceted upper and lower sections, both articulated by trapezoidal panes and geometric brass profiles. A stylized openwork loop connects the lantern to its slender suspension rod and circular ceiling canopy, completing the composition with a subtle ornamental flourish. When illuminated, the exposed central light source is multiplied through the bevelled glass surfaces, producing warm reflections and delicate geometric shadows on the surrounding walls and ceiling. When switched off, the transparency of the crystal emphasizes the precision of the construction and allows the lantern to remain visually light within the interior. Its compact dimensions make it particularly suitable for a powder room, dressing area, entrance hall, corridor or an intimate corner requiring a decorative point of light. It may also be installed in a bathroom away from direct moisture, subject to professional inspection and compliance with applicable local regulations. The lantern presents a small defect to the upper edge of one glass element, as clearly shown in the photographs. The affected area sits beneath the upper part of the structure and is not visible once the fixture has been installed. It does not compromise the stability or overall appearance of the piece. The brass retains an attractive vintage patina with subtle variations and surface marks consistent with its age. The glass is otherwise preserved in very good vintage condition. Condition Note: The fixture is preserved in good vintage condition, with a small defect to one upper glass element as documented in the photographs.
