Curtis is the … Read more Set of 4 original vintage botanical prints published in England in the 1950s in "Curtis's Botanical Magazine". Curtis is the world's longest published botanical journal. Since publication of the first issue in 1787 Curtis has earned a reputation for the accuracy - and beauty - of the color illustrations of plants featured on its pages, and the accompanying detailed background text.

The plants shown on the prints include:
Top row (l to r): Fried Egg Plant, Violetta
Bottom row (l to r): Desert Rose, Fire Lily

Each of these original vintage botanical prints measure 6 x 10 inches and are in excellent condition. They are not contemporary reproductions. The illustrations are by the British artist Ann Webster.

The prints include a certificate with additional information about the series, and original page of accompanying text. Each print is carefully packaged in an archival plastic sleeve with backing board, and shipped in a cardboard flat mailer with cardboard insert for additional protection during shipment. See less
