The substantial lacquered-brass microscope features Crouch's distinctive sculptural stand and is clearly engraved “HENRY CROUCH / LONDON / 1400.” The fitted mahogany case retains numerous brass optical components, lenses, eyepieces and accessories, many housed within their original designated compartments.
