Its elongated oval shape is adorned with a vibrant orange glaze with a slightly granular texture that irresistibly evokes the smoothness of citrus peel. The lid is the true surprise of the piece: a flow of deep green glaze with almost bluish reflections settles spectacularly upon it, dotted with bubbles frozen in the vitreous material, like a moment of fusion captured forever. This organic, Japanese-inspired, and almost living effect is typical of the artist's ceramic explorations. A beautiful piece of French Art Nouveau ceramic, this lovely piece would make a perfect ring holder or jewelry box, or a charming decorative accent.

This ceramic piece is vintage, dating from the 1920s. The glaze is glossy and the colors are vibrant. The piece is signed on the underside. Tiny chips in the glaze are visible in the photo.
