The rounded body is decorated with colorful peacocks and other birds among lush peonies, flowering branches, and bamboo against a warm blush-pink ground, accented with delicate gilt detailing. A continuous floral border surrounds the wide flared rim. The interior is equally decorative, featuring painted fish swimming among green aquatic grasses, a traditional detail intended to remain visible when the vessel is filled with water.
