The chair features broad rolled armrests, a gently curved back with pronounced side wings and a deep, comfortable seat. The front is supported by beautifully turned wooden bun feet, while the rear rests on slightly splayed wooden legs, giving the chair a solid yet elegant stance.

The chair was reupholstered during the 1960s in a luxurious deep red jacquard velvet with a bold black floral pattern. The expressive textile complements the sculptural 1930s form particularly well and gives the chair a distinctive, decorative character.

Despite its substantial appearance, the chair is exceptionally comfortable and provides a relaxed, enveloping seating position.

Dating from the 1930s, with upholstery from the 1960s.
