Made from polished hardwood (such as mahogany or teak) with geometric wood-inlay borders, glass, and genuine, brightly colored butterfly wing segments. These decorative souvenir pieces are typically attributed to the Art Deco and mid-century periods, roughly spanning the 1930s through the 1950s. We had one in our antique shop when I was a child and I was fascinated by it but it was the typical design pattern, a geometric type of design. I have never seen one with birds like this and it's really pretty spectacular. The colors are amazing and I love the tropical designs. My photos do not do it justice and it's so hard to photograph without getting a glare. This tray is designed to represent Rio de Janeiro. See less
