Vintage Wire and Wood Serving Cart/Rolling Table — 1950s-60s
This serving cart, with its clean lines, embodies the wire aesthetic characteristic of French furniture from the 1950s and 60s. Its black lacquered metal frame, with its slender lines and arches, comprises three levels: a solid wood (oak) top in warm honey tones, and two lower shelves made of interwoven wire, one of which features a small, practical side compartment (for magazines or bottles). The entire piece rests on four swivel casters for easy mobility.
The contrast between the lightness of the black wire and the warmth of the solid wood gives this piece a graphic elegance typical of post-war design. Functional and decorative, it naturally finds its place as a bar table, living room serving cart, or rolling side table.
