Design Plus Gallery presents a 1980's Chinoiserie Lingerie Chest by Phyllis Andrade for White Furniture Company. The tall wood case is accented with raised gilt chinoiserie motifs depicting birds, butterflies, foliage, architectural scenes, and landscape elements across the drawer fronts. Gilt borders trace the serpentine drawer profiles, while decorative metal pulls complement the ornamental detailing. The chest includes a smaller upper drawer followed by six graduated drawers, creating an eight-drawer configuration. Paneled sides, shaped front corners, a gently contoured top, and scrolling feet complete the traditional profile. Andrade’s signed work for White Furniture Co. has become sought after for its distinctive hand-applied decorative treatment and limited-production character. It is in good condition with visible and minimal wear from usage. Made in the USA.
