The rounded rectangular top with reeded edge is a nice mellow mahogany colour and has two 2ft6" (77cm) leaves which can be added or removed as required to suit the occasion. It can seat twelve people in comfort and is raised on three gun barrel sabre leg bases, the centre section on four outswept legs, the end sections on three legs, all the legs terminating in decoratively embossed brass lion's paw castors. The set of twelve superb swag back dining chairs, date from the second half of the 20th Century. Masterfully crafted in beautiful solid mahogany throughout, the finish and attention to detail on display are truly breathtaking. Comprising ten side chairs and two armchairs, all featuring an attractive swag back design with 'drop in' seats that have been reupholstered in the finest claret damask. There is no mistaking the fine craftsmanship of this handsome dining set which is certain to become a treasured addition to your furniture collection, and a talking point with guests at meal times.
