19th century mahogany planter or wine cooler from England strapped in brass.
This piece is lovely! It is made from mahogany and is strapped in brass with a brass handle. The interior is fitted with a removable copper lining. The lining is 7 inches deep while inserted, and without the insert, the interior measures 16 inches in depth.
The strapped bucket is sitting upon what appears to be a custom made base with lovely traditional squared and tapered legs, ending in brass casters. The bucket can be lifted off of the base easily, if you would like to use the bucket by itself.
This would look great beside a fireplace - just imagine it filled with Christmas greenery!
