The combination of materials and physics-defying base give the table an ultramodern presence equally at home in mid-century
modern and contemporary interiors.

With the two included leaves, which appear to float beyond either end of the glass top, the table reaches a maximum length of 114 inches and comfortably accommodates 10 guests. The rails supporting the leaves are built from solid oak capped in zebrawood, providing the requisite strength while maintaining the table’s carefully limited material palette. When not in use, the rails disappear entirely within the metal sheaths supporting the dining surface.

The base is newly refinished and shows beautifully, with only the slightest traces of prior use perceptible on close inspection. The glass top was chipped at the corner during a move by the original owners. It has been filled with a clear epoxy with no sharp edges exposed.

This table is unmarked. Some examples we have seen were labeled with a sticker on the underside of the table base. If this piece was labeled at the time of production, the label has been lost to history. See less
