A beautifully colored original print from Birds of America by John James Audubon, 1840. The detailed composition shows several grouse within a woodland setting and captures the classic natural-history character of Audubon’s work. Once found throughout the eastern United States, the Ruffed Grouse became Pennsylvania’s state bird in 1931.
Custom framed with UV-protective glass, a wide textured olive colored mat neutral and handsome burl-style wood frame. Minor age-related wear to the frame.
