ABOUT THE WORKS

Brehm’s Djurens Liv was the Swedish adaptation of the influential zoological encyclopedia Brehms Tierleben. The fourth Swedish edition paired Brehm’s broad survey of the animal world with work by Scandinavian illustrators including Olof Gylling, a zoological artist and museum conservator known for combining close natural observation with fully developed animal environments.
