The artist personally reviewed photographs and said it may be a piece he sold when he first began making pottery at Arkansas State University.

This substantial studio pottery bowl measures approximately 11.5" wide × 11" deep × 6" high and weighs approximately 5 pounds. It is wheel-thrown stoneware with a raised foot, heavy rounded rim, textured cream interior, and an expressive mottled glaze combining earthy brown, olive-gray, cream, tan, and burgundy-plum tones.

The underside is signed “chad” in lowercase letters.
