Made by the lusty family company in london in the 1950s, this charmingly stylish and very comfortable pair of lloyd loom chairs exudes mid-century-chic and will add smart two-tone colouring and a timelessly tasteful aesthetic to any interior.

designed by geoffrey lusty, these m300 cocktail chairs are a wonderful and very-1950s mix of traditional craftsmanship with bauhaus-inspired post-war industrial-minimalism. They feature a large and broad wicker seat over a sleek tubular frame, the seats being expertly hand-woven into a lovely curved and angled, elliptical back shape, which wraps around the sitter to create natural arms and an extremely comfortable seat.

the seats are painted in neutral off-white, enhancing the super juxtaposition between the wicker seats and the sleek, tapering black-painted tubular steel legs. Set on the original charming black plastic nub-feet, they have the original lloyd loom lusty label fixed to the underside and even some extra woven wicker trim, in case of repairs.

all in all this is a timelessly elegant and fabulously-1950s, rare pair of strikingly smart cocktail lounge chairs by an iconic mid century maker. Photographed here with a danish tiled ox art coffee table, these super cocktail chairs are light and easily moveable, so could be used inside or out.

these super chairs are in very good vintage condition. Expertly crafted when furniture was built to last, they are structurally sound and sturdy and have only minor to-be-expected wear to show their vintage heritage, including minor discolouration, marks and scratching to the paint finishes and one missing black plastic nub-foot. If using outside, we recommend that they’re not left in the elements after use. Overall they’re a super pair of rare and very chic cocktail chairs in lovely vintage condition and if well looked after they should remain so for generations to come – please see the photos.
