The petite rounded vessel features a beaded border and an elaborate raised floral and scrollwork pedestal base. Its removable domed lid is richly decorated and centered with a lovely porcelain portrait of a young girl, giving the piece wonderful Victorian character.

The underside bears the circular Derby Silver Co. Quadruple Plate maker's mark along with a stamped model or pattern number.

Likely dating to the 1880s–1890s, this decorative covered jar would have been suitable for a Victorian dressing table or vanity and today makes a beautiful trinket box, jewelry container or decorative collectible.

Antique condition with expected surface scratches, patina, tarnish and wear to the silverplate consistent with age and use. Please review photographs closely as they form part of the condition description.
