The ceramic body is thrown by hand, then built into its sculptural artichoke form leaf by leaf. Each leaf is individually shaped by the artisan and painstakingly attached by hand before the finished piece is glazed in a luminous emerald green and fired.

The result is substantial Italian pottery with the irregularity and character that comes from genuine hand production. Variations in the glaze, leaf formation and surface are expected and ensure that no two pieces are exactly alike.

Its classic artichoke form works beautifully as a dining-table centerpiece, fruit bowl, floral vessel or statement object on a kitchen island or console. The rich green is particularly striking filled with citrus, hydrangeas or seasonal flowers.
