Artisan-crafted in France, its monumental proportions, elaborate basket construction and distinctive deer-head details make it a true statement piece for a grand interior.
The chandelier is constructed around a large basket-form crystal body, densely decorated with hundreds of faceted clear crystals. The lower section forms a deep rounded basket, while the upper section rises into an elegant tapered crystal tower crowned with gilt-bronze foliate decoration. When illuminated, the numerous crystals reflect the light from every direction and create a warm, brilliant glow.
Around the central gilt-bronze band are six beautifully modelled deer heads, each with sculptural antlers and finely detailed facial features. From the mouth of each deer hangs a separate crystal basket lantern, creating six exterior pendant lights around the chandelier. The combination of hunting imagery, classical bronze ornamentation and sparkling crystal gives the piece an unusual château-inspired character.
The gilt-bronze framework is further decorated with classical leaves, floral motifs, moulded borders and a substantial decorative finial beneath the crystal basket.
