Large vintage Chinoiserie or Japanese Style 2-panel folding painted screen depicts two flying Red-Crowned Cranes above Pine Trees. Handmade and hand painted for the European market. Singed and sealed by artist. Detailed. Gouache, watercolor and ink on silk over boards. Silk brocade border. Lacquered black wood frame with engraved copper corners, showing some age patina. Paper and original stickers on back. Hong Kong, circa 1950-1960s. Nearly Excellent condition - minor age wear overall, no damage to the painting, age wear and a small damage to the back, strong hinges, clean, sturdy. This screen probably had one owner in the past.
