Originally produced as a shop or window display head for presenting hats, wigs and accessories, these ceramic heads have since become highly decorative objects in their own right. The glossy monochrome finish gives this example a particularly graphic appearance, working equally well as a standalone sculpture or as a functional display for headphones, eyewear or headwear.

The proportions correspond closely with known Dutch examples associated with Royal Crown Holland, and we have therefore attributed the piece to Royal Crown rather than stating the maker definitively in the absence of a visible manufacturer's mark. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
