A Louis XV/Rococo table lamp on a richly decorated polychrome tripod base, featuring a fluted column. The colours are green and gold.
Truly a special and atmospheric piece of antique lighting.
The lampshade is probably not original to this lamp, but it is a splendid match; it may be slightly younger in age, dating from the 1950s.
The base of the lamp itself is in good condition; the old lampshade with birds and flowers shows cracks on the inside – see the detailed photo - but that is not visible on the outside.
All in all, a very characterful and unique piece.
