Exceptional 1956 dresser mirror by L. & J.G. Stickley, Inc., from the Leopold Stickley Original period. Crafted in warm cherry wood with a substantial molded frame, stepped architectural detailing, and adjustable side supports allowing the mirror to tilt to the desired angle.
The original “Leopold Stickley Original 1956” label remains affixed to the reverse, along with the original Stickley finish-care instructions from L. & J.G. Stickley, Inc., Fayetteville, New York.
A well-preserved example of mid-century American furniture from the later years of Leopold Stickley's leadership. The warm cherry finish and restrained Colonial Revival detailing give the piece a classic American character that works equally well in traditional, transitional, or collected interiors. Stickley describes Leopold's furniture of this era as part of the evolution toward its highly regarded American Colonial/Cherry Valley aesthetic.
