This model exudes its warmth in any kitchen and remains in near-fine condition. It is charming to behold, resembling a heavy, weighted pitcher, a styled spout, and a pedaled, top-opening metallic lid, colorfully decorated with quality art transfers depicting a European castle or château nestled beside a moat. The weight, a massive 3lbs, stands just over 11” with its perfect shape and aesthetic of old-world continental craftsmanship. Although unbranded at the bottom, the clean, blank enamel base reflects this line—the exact design hallmarks and physical characteristics of the celebrated patented "Pearland Agate" or "Granite Ware" line by Manning, Bowman & Co. of Meriden, Connecticut. Originally intended for countertop use to insulate hot chocolate or coffee, this pot now serves as a premier decorative accent, evoking instant admiration for its balanced design. It is an art statement for modern open kitchen shelving, a rustic mantel centerpiece, or a unique vase for dried botanical and floral arrangements in a high-end core Cottage, French Country Farmhouse, or Grandmillennial setting. The pewter or pewter-plated white metal components remain in original condition—including a faceted geometric handle, stylized pouring spout, and elegant tiered lid with a scalloped collar—securely original, unscathed, and beautifully unpolished with dark oxidation. This antique pitcher stands firmly stable and structurally intact, showcasing an authentic historical patina. The main white porcelain body, both inside and out, is exceptionally clean and free of any impact chips or structural cracks. With few signs of use or wear, it shows appropriate signs of age: barely perceptible surface scuffs and prominent amber-brown rust blooming cleanly along the crevices where the metal tracks meet the porcelain frame confirm an authentic 120+ year lineage. less
