Signed on plate. The lithograph, on Arches vellum, is from the portfolio numbered 134/500. Published by Eugène Rey, Paris in 1933. Good conditions. The artwork is attached on a brown paper (25 x 33 cm) Théophile Alexandre Steinlen (1859 – 1923), was a Swiss-born French Art Nouveau painter and printmaker. In 1878 Théophile-Alexandre Steinlen went to Paris, where he initially earned a living as a technical draftsman. In 1883 he met and made friends with artists like Toulouse-Lautrec, Aristide Bruant, Vallaton and Alphone Allais. In 1884 he held his first exhibition at La Bodinière. In 1885 Théophile-Alexandre Steinlen drew the first of his famous posters: a poster for the Hotel de Paris in Trouville sur Mer. In 1884 he held his first exhibition at La Bodinière.
