Made in the United States, … Read more A beautifully preserved vintage dining set from Drexel’s Cabernet collection, commonly known as Cabernet Classics. Made in the United States, the set displays the romantic French Provincial styling for which the collection is known.

The expandable table features a shaped oval top with decorative pecan veneers arranged in a striking geometric pattern. Beveled edges, a scalloped apron with carved foliate embellishments and graceful cabriole legs complete the design.

The table measures 56 inches long when closed and includes two original matching 20-inch leaves. It expands to 76 inches with one leaf or an impressive 96 inches with both leaves installed.

Six coordinating dining chairs are included: two armchairs and four side chairs. Each chair features a woven cane back, carved floral crest, cabriole legs and a generously padded seat upholstered in a softly colored botanical fabric. The upholstery may be original and remains remarkably well preserved.

The chairs retain their Drexel Heritage Furnishings labels from Shelby Plant 5. The table is factory-stenciled “Cabernet by Drexel,” model 360-330-3, and the original matching-number labels remain attached to the two table leaves.
