DESCRIPTION:
Vintage kidney-shaped writing desk or vanity with matching chair, inspired by French Louis XV and Rococo furniture.
The desk has a graceful curved, kidney-bean silhouette, with warm reddish-brown wood drawer fronts contrasting with an aged cream painted frame. Details include slender cabriole legs, carved foliate decoration, scalloped aprons, small hand-painted floral accents and decorative rosette-style metal pulls.
Five drawers provide useful storage while keeping the proportions light and elegant.
The matching chair echoes the desk's curved lines and finish, with cabriole legs and an open carved back featuring scroll, shell and foliate motifs.
A distinctive, yet delicate piece for use as a writing desk or bedroom vanity.

Condition: Please see photos for details. Both the desk and chair are in very good structural condition overall. Condition is consistent with age and use. The desk shows some discoloration marks on the inner side (the side facing the chair), as well as some discoloration, water stains, and a few scratches on the desktop. The remainder of the desk and the chair are in very good condition, retaining their original finish and colors.
