It features a Hound Hunting motif including a dog on the handle, all finished in a deep emerald green. The piece is dated based on the makers mark. Wedgwood’s historic factory was located in Etruria. Between 1938 to 1940 the company moved operations to their new modern factory in Barlaston, Staffordshire. The only time they stamped pieces with both factory locations was during these transition years.
