Inside the matrix, the artwork is signed on the lower left “L.P. Moretti”, whilst outside the matrix, on the lower left, in pencil, there is the circulation “18/23”. On the lower right, outside the matrix, in pencil, “L.P. Moretti” is written. The state of preservation is excellent. Lucien-Philippe Moretti was a French modern artist who described, with his paintings, watercolors, and engravings, a wide variety of emotions and characters. He was deeply interested in the representation of the complexity of the human frames of mind, expressing a unique sensitivity and ability in capturing expressions and feelings, especially in his numerous portraits.
