Design Plus Gallery presents a Set of Eight Danish Mid 20th Century Modern Dining Chairs designed by Arne Hovmand-Olsen for Mogens Kold Møbelfabrik. The set includes seven side chairs and one coordinating armchair, each displaying the sculptural woodworking associated with Hovmand-Olsen’s Danish furniture designs. The teak frames have tapered legs, gently curved backrests, and fluid transitions between the uprights and back supports. The armchair incorporates slender wooden arms that follow the same organic profile as the side chairs. Each seat is upholstered in blue velvet, which shows visible wear from usage, including variations to the pile and surface. A Danish Furnituremakers’ Control and Mogens Kold maker’s label is present underneath. These are discontinued models with the brand and are in good condition with visible and minimal wear from usage. Made in Denmark.
