Teak desk with four drawers, a central compartment with two shelves, and tapered legs. Scandinavian design, 1960s.
Distinguished by an elegant profile and meticulous construction, this teak desk interprets the language of 1950s Scandinavian design through a measured balance between functionality and formal simplicity. The top is completed by a contoured rear splashback, while the four side drawers frame a central compartment with two shelves, organizing the space functionally without overpowering the overall volume. The vertical grain of the fronts is interpreted with two different intensities, thicker and darker in the upper drawers, lighter and more delicate in the lower ones, introducing a subtle material variation, complemented by the thin, arched metal handles. The tapered legs, connected to the sides by external structural elements, further lighten the overall effect, while the drawers, assembled with traditional dovetail joints, demonstrate quality construction.
Good condition. May show signs of wear. Please refer to the photographs carefully.
