Bring the grandeur of Continental European design into your space with this spectacular Italian Neoclassical style curule-form window bench. Striking a dramatic and regal silhouette, this bench is heavily inspired by classical antiquity, featuring a sweeping crescent-shaped backrest flanked by stylized scrolling arms and exquisite gold leaf finial accents.
Unlike standard gold-gilt variants, this particular piece features a rare, high-gloss faux-tortoiseshell lacquer finish beautifully mottled with rich amber, dark espresso, and deep gold undertones across the primary frame. The striking finish is elegantly elevated by hand-applied gold leaf accents highlighting the finials, trim, and elegant lines of the scrolling framework.
The rectangular drop-in seat cushion is upholstered in a versatile, cream-and-gold geometric diamond patterned fabric bordered by elegant, braided rope trim. Supported by tapered, gently flared sabre legs, this highly collectible, sculptural piece makes an unforgettable focal point at the foot of a bed, under a window, or anchoring a sophisticated entryway.

The frame shows minor, age-appropriate surface rubs and slight nicks to the lacquered finish which add to its authentic antique character and do not distract from its presentation. The gold leaf accents remain beautifully bright. The drop-in cushion upholstery remains clean, supportive, and free of rips or major stains. Please be sure to zoom in and look at the imperfections on this item.
