Beautiful vintage Japanese-style wood lantern with warm translucent panels and traditional-inspired fitted construction. The tall rectangular frame is built from richly grained wood in contrasting warm tones, with shaped corner joints, a substantial upper frame with circular opening, and a raised wood carrying handle. Four frosted translucent plastic panels softly diffuse the light from within, producing a particularly warm, atmospheric glow while allowing additional light through the open top.
An unusual decorative lighting piece with a strong Japanese modernist feel, equally attractive displayed unlit where the joinery and wood grain become the focus. The interior is designed to accommodate a light source; light source not included.
