This piece which is approximately 46" by 40" was purchased in Cuzco in the early 1980's and was not new then, so probably at least 50 years old. The color has slightly faded and there are blue stain spots here and there, also a hole (see photos 1 & 7) and some curling to the edges. All in all the kind of wear that one would expect from a well used cloth but still a beautiful example of the weaving expertise of the ancient Andean culture.
